1980 Established in 1980 Aberlady Bays Volleyball Club started life as a recreational volleyball club in Aberlady Village Hall, EastLothian, Scotland.

The club has played at various levels over the years1990/91 - Treble winning season. The Club at this stage consisted of 1 womens teams 2 mens teams. The season proved to be one ofthe clubs most succesful seasons. Winning the local Pinta Festival, the mens team completed a league and cup double.

The men´s winning team that year consisted of Sam Cowie (captain), John Stewart, Craig Macfarlane, Gordon Wilson, Fred Logan, Craig Marshall and Tony Mckenzie.

1992 The club moved to Meadowmill Sports Centre in 1992.

1999 - Club had inaugural Volley tournament at Meadowmill.

1999/2000 - The club represented East Lothian in the mens Inter District tournament, coming within 1 point of taking a set off SuRegazzi in the final match of the tournament .

2000/01 - The club represented East Lothian in the mens Inter district tournament.

2002 - Club joins AVC to travel to Belgium to take part in the Keildeveich Outdoor Volleyball Tournament. Supported by Glenkinchie Distillery. The co-teambecome favourites with the opposition. Reaching a credible 3rd in their league

2005 - Aberlady Bays Celebrate their Silver Jubilee.Club takes part in Knockurn Beach Tournament at banchory, Aberdeen. Team comes out on topMen take part in Portobello Beach tournament and come out 5th in their division. Club host PAA tournament at Meadowmill. Police forces from Grampian, Strathclyde, Lothian & Borders and a England forces select.
The Tournament wasfollowed by Scotland v England matches where a selection was made for the British forces team.The two day event was a huge success assistedby the backdrop of Meadowmill Sports Centre and East Lothian Council.
